| Just received my Flex 3000, spent the day setting-up and reading the manual. Installation went well and it seems to be running well. I,m probably in " learning-curve overload " so its probably mis-operation (or misunderstanding) but a couple of things I cant seem to resolve. 1/ Cant seem to get an SWR reading on TX (steady carrier), my chosen antenna reads about 1.7:1 but nothing shows on the consul meter. 2/ Recording and playing back received audio (beacons mostly)........it seems to record and save the .wav file OK, but on hitting "play" the display shows the signal, but it jumps to the left of the display and what sound there is...is distorted. Probably my errors, but its bugging me a bit. 73 Roger G0IUW

Roger:
You have probably found the solution by now but just in case:
When playing back your audio, first turn the carrier output to zero, then hit the Mox button, then Play. This should center the carrier in your display and correct the distortion. Of course, if you want to play it over the air, leave the carrier on.
I can't imagine the SWR problem unless you are not using the Tune button with five or ten watts of RF being selected (in another panel). Or, you can always whistle in the mic...
