I am considering buying a F3K and have a laptop with 2G RAM and 1.73GHz Celeron. Is this good enough?
Also, it has a 4 pin 1394 Firewire socket. With a suitable 6 to 4 pin cable, will this work?
TIA

Apologies, I sent these posts on another computer and it didn't look as if it had posted, hence the duplicate. I tried to delete one but don't seem to have the authority to do so

Robin,
I believe that a four wire Firewire would work since the Flex 3K/5K Hardware does not need any DC power from the PC
