Hi,
Only had my 3000 a few days so be kind...
Already loaded and using the PB version of power SDR on windows 7-64bit - just in case that answers it...
If I quick record something, on playing back it is distorted ? am I missing some settings
Also my previous rig a 756 pro2 tuned my G5RV from 80-10Mtrs no problem, the 3000 only will tune 20 and 10, the other bands it displays a dialog box with SWR out of range, and sets the ATU in Bypass, but doesn't colour the ATU button in red, so gives no warning of potential damage if txing

Happy new Year
Thanks
Steve de G6HOQ

Hi Steve,

The impedance range of the Flex-3000 tuner is 17 to 150 ohms. Your G5RV likely will require and separate tuner (I use an MFJ 929 auto tuner). I think the 3000's internal tuner is intended to work with resonant antennas that may be a little narrow banded. If the tuner cannot match the antenna the tuner will be set to bypass. If you SWR is too high the software will display "High SWR" in red while transmitting.

Can't provide much help with your audio files other than to suggest that you check the audio properties in the Windows control panel. Make sure that play back is set to the computer's internal sound card.

Someone wiser than me will help you I'm sure.

Hello

How do you have the radio interface for that tuner hooked up for a Flex-Radio?

I would like to get one but to make it work you need to run the radio interface correct?

You can use the TUNE button (not the ATU) to send a low power carrier to the external tuner. Then you tune the external tuner as you would with any other radio (assuming the tuner is not radio specific).

I have an external auto tuner connected to my FLEX-3000 and just keep the FLEX-3000 ATU in bypass mode all the time.
