I just purchased a flex 5000A from talking with a person at Flex he told me that one of the things to look for on my computer was the amount of L2 cache currently my system only has 1mb of L2 cache It is a dual core 2.0ghz with 4GB of 800mhz FSB ram. Is my flex going to be to run on this machine and what performance issue will I have till I can upgrade this computer???
Thanks

Yes, it will run OK. This recommendation is for anyone purchasing a new machine and you have a choice between what CPU to get. L2 cache is more important than clock speed, IMHO. The DSP logic in PowerSDR is doing a bunch of math operations, so keeping then queued deep in a L2 cache helps with the overall performance.
