Teamspeak Official Flex-Radio-Friends forum every Saturday at 0100 UTC. Also nightly informal gatherings. Many folks around on weekends during the day.
What is Teamspeak?
Teamspeak is a web based group conferencing server which supports up to 50 simultaneous conversations. This was instituted October 2004 for FlexRadio users to have worldwide voice communications 24x7x365. Except for occasional brief server maintenance, there have been very few outages.
The only thing you will need to have to get on Teamspeak is an Internet connection and a PC microphone, soundcard and speakers. Just install the client software in Windows or Linux and you can connect to the server, and chat with many other SDR owners. Even Dial-up connections work fine!
You can find all the information you need in the links in red in this message or in my Signature. Please read the Quickstart Guide for helpful set up hints before attempting the connection. Then click on the link to get the Client install program from the internet and install per the quickstart guide.

There is almost always someone around every weekday evening USA time from 6:00 P.M. EDT till about 11 P.M. EDT and even later. Also several people Bill – KD5TFD, Myself AA4SW who stay logged in 24 hours a day unless the server occasionally ‘bumps us’. We are not available for conference most of that time. You can leave a text message in private or to all in the channel which we can see even if we are not around when you are on. The message you leave will remain persistent unless we get bumped off.
We have an ‘official’ Teamspeak Flex-Radio-Friends forum every Saturday at 0100 UTC. (For USA folks this is Friday early evenings.) 9 EDT. Many times Gerald – K5SDR as well as the key user programmers are there for those sessions. This forum is recorded and posted for all to listen at a later time under this Forum heading. Usually Saturday’s 0100 forum audio is posted within 24 hours.
One of the most important contributions of Teamspeak is solving user hardware/software issues and getting everyone up and running. If you are struggling with getting the SDR-1000 and PowerSDR running properly or have comments, issues or solutions, there is almost always someone around to ‘compare notes’ or offer advice from experience.
There are so many other colaborative accomplishments achieved on Teamspeak that it would be impossible to list.
